Military Service Recognition Books

The contribution of Veterans in Canada and the world is not celebrated or shared enough. The Royal Canadian Legion has compiled personal accounts of Veterans lives, submitted by family, friends or Veterans themselves, in a collection of Military Service Recognition Books. These accounts give us a glimpse of lives that deserve to be remembered. The books are then given to branches, schools, libraries, and the public. Money from advertisements in the books goes towards helping branches and Legion programs.

Recognize our Veterans

As the “Keepers of Remembrance”, Ontario Command is proud to publish an annual Military Recognition Book to identify and recognize many of our Veterans in Ontario, who have either served or are still serving in our Canadian Armed Forces, the Commonwealth or Allied Forces.

We invite you to visit the Tara Legion to obtain more information regarding this Remembrance program and more importantly, to submit a story and photo of a Veteran.  Everyone is welcome to submit a story, including Veterans, relatives or friends.

Drop off or send your histories and stories to the Tara Legion and we accept them year-round. We invite you to share your story or the story of a loved one through the Branch.
